Warner_1 Warner_2 warner_3

““Warner Drive” is an original rock-based outfit that features catchy riffs, a punk edge, and energetic shows that constantly concert new listeners into loyal fans. The group is carving out its place among a wide demographic through extensive touring, heavy merchandise sales, and a broad… network of passionate followers. They bring an aggressive sound, layered with refreshing and melodic hooks, however grounded steadfast in Rock n’ Roll.”

This is quoted from Warnerdrive.com, if you’d like to continue the bio head on over after you read my personal insight to the band.

Introducing the band:
Jonathon Jonah - Lead Vocals and Guitars
Chris Kousnayan - Lead guitar, Vocals
Peter Crowner - Bass, Vocals
Matthew Shapiro - Drums

I found this band online and at first just thought it was a good vocal coming from a hot front man however as I listened further to the music I was impressed. The quirky lyrics (The Shocker) and fun delivery made me want to see them live. Good news, even though they are based in L.A. they do their fair share of touring. I went out to see them and it was fantastic, I have made an attempt to go to every show after.

The room is electric when the guys get on stage. There are fans in Phoenix even though we aren’t their home town which is a difficult task since they really have to play here to cultivate a true audience not a crowd. Jonny has great vocal and the bass player Pete banters back and forth to make it a night of music and laughter. You will know this band is a well oiled machine when you hear them execute.

This band actually walks around during breaks and after the set to have a drink with you, socialize, and take pictures. Pete is very animated and has an unforgettable Mohawk. Jonny is a good boy with a bad rock star image, which makes the girls swoon. I haven’t had a chance to chat with Chris or Matt to date.

The Warner Drive CD is well recorded and very entertaining. I have it close to my player at all times when it’s not in.

A fun note is that Jonathan L well known DJ at KUPD has played Warner Drive on Phoenix radio, yes they are that good!

You can check them out at Warnerdrive.com or MySpace music warnerdrive.
