BRET MICHAELS ADDED TO 'HOUSE TRAINING' LAWSUIT:
Poison lead singer Bret Michaels was added as a defendant in a lawsuit filed by a man who alleges his $9 million Encino home was trashed during taping of the VH1 unscripted series "Rock of Love," court papers show.
Ray Sahranavard alleges about $380,000 in damage was caused during two months of taping. He filed the suit last Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court against Mindless Entertainment Inc., producers of "Rock of Love," alleging fraud, negligent misrepresentation, breach of contract and negligence.
Sahranavard added Michaels, the star of the reality show, as a defendant yesterday, as well as an additional cause of action alleging intentional destruction of property.
Representatives for Michaels and the producers were not immediately available for comment.
According to the suit, Sahranavard signed an agreement with the production company last September for the use of his home from Oct. 17 to Dec. 11 for the taping of the second season of the show starring Michaels and a cast of women who live in the home with him and compete for his affection.
The company promised to take good care of the mansion and obtain an insurance policy that would name Sahranavard as an additionally insured party with liability limits of $3 million, according to his court papers.
But when Sahranavard got his home back, there were holes in the walls and ceilings, all the doors had been removed, the interior had been nearly entirely repainted and much of the landscaping had died, according to his suit.
He says the nearly $380,000 damage estimate was compiled by a general contractor hired by him.
The producers later tried to distance themselves from the actions of Michaels and the female contestants, claiming they did not know what they did outside of the instructions given them by the company, the homeowner's suit alleges.
Had Sahranavard known the producers' intentions, he would not have allowed the show to be taped at his home, according to his court papers.
He claims the producers admitted they never bought an insurance policy and later set up a different company to try and make themselves judgment-proof.
FORMER HELIX DRUMMER RELEASES NEW VIDEO AND IS LOOKING FOR A BASSIST:
Brent Doerner, who played drums with helix during their commercial peak, has released a new video for the unreleased song "The Sting I Need."
Brent also stated that his band Decibel is working on new material and looking for a new bass player/singer with the following statement that was posted at www.bdecibel.com.
We're now about 3/4 done recording the overdubs on the 18 bed tracks we put down. Andy Charel is setting up our mixes in Toronto - and hopefully in 3 or 4 weeks, we'll have 18 tunes to master.
I've been busy learning video editing software, and of course - doing lots of video editing when I'm not writing and recording. It's a huge learning curve, and between doing recording and video editing, there's no time left for much else. Our plan is to have videos available to view - of all the new songs - on this website - when this cd is done. Our webmaster guru - Ron Kingyens - will help us out when they're ready.
Decibel is looking a for a male lead singer/bass player. That is - a bass player that can lead sing. If you are interested, or know someone who is interested - please contact us through this site.
AC/DC WORKING WITH BRENDAN O'BRIAN SAYS SUPERSUCKERS VOCALIST:
Supersuckers vocalist Eddie Spaghetti revealed that AC/DC is working with producer Brendan O'Brien on a recent post on the Supersuckers website (www.supersuckers.com)
I'm sure you're all wondering, "where the hell is that new 'suckers record?", well rest assured it IS coming. It's just taking a little longer than we expected to get done. Our current snag is that the producer of the new record wants to make some last minute tweaks and, well, he can't right now. He's been detained by a little Australian band called, uh, AC/DC.
That's right our man Billy Bowers, who did such a stellar job on our "Paid" E.P., is an engineer for Brendan O'Brian who is producing the new AC/DC record and so he's been taken away from our project temporarily. But he assures us that, as soon as he can, he will have the mixes done and that they will rock mightily so we have to just be content with that for now.
In the meantime, we will be keeping busy rocking the free world and you can come and get your fix of the new material at one of our many rock shows coming up in the near future at a location near you, I'm sure.
I just thought you all should know where the new record stands right now. No one is getting any more impatient than we are, that's for sure. We can't wait for this record to hit the streets and these delays are killing us, but right now there's nothing we can do but wait. So we wait, along with you, the good people of impeccable taste who subscribe to this email list.

THE CULT'S BILLY MORRISON RELEASES "STIMULATOR":
RELEASED THIS WEEK ON I-TUNES WORLDWIDE:
Limited edition hard copy CD available ONLY from:
www.billymorrison.net/weblog and www.myspace.com/billymorrisonmusic
Back in 1998, Billy Morrison (The Cult, Circus Diablo, Camp Freddy), fronted UK rock band Stimulator, with guitarist Terry Warville and drummer Jason Bowld (Pitchshifter). The band signed a large deal with Geffen Records in the U.S. and recorded their debut album in Los Angeles. Riding high on a wave of great press and even greater expectation, they could not have imagined that Geffen Records would be part of the first big music business merger (with Seagrams), and that their record would never be released.
10 years later, Billy now lives in Los Angeles, has played bass in THE CULT, formed CAMP FREDDY (with Dave Navarro, Donovan Leitch, Chris Chaney and Matt Sorum), CIRCUS DIABLO (with Billy Duffy, Ricky Warwick and Brett Scallions) acts, writes, hosts a radio showand has finally decided to release those masters as a Billy Morrison solo album.
After releasing the Circus Diablo album on Koch Records last year, and spending the summer on the Ozzfest, Billy entered 2008 with some thoughts about a solo album. Currently holed up in a studio in Los Angeles recording brand new material for release later in 2008, he felt that the time was right to resurrect the old Stimulator masters and put the album out, as it was recorded ten years ago. Forming his own label, King Mob Music, Billy has not retouched or remixed the Stimulator album in any way and is releasing it as a stop gap between the Diablo album and his forthcoming solo material.

POISON ANNOUNCES "LIVE, RAW & UNCUT SUMMER TOUR 2008" WITH DOKKEN AND SEBASTIAN BACH:
Poison, one of rock's most iconic and enduring bands, will hit more than 40 U.S. cities this summer on their LIVE, RAW & UNCUT SUMMER TOUR 2008. The national tour, with Dokken and Sebastian Bach joining Poison for most of the dates, rolls out on July 3 in Salt Lake City, UT, with stops in and around New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Detroit, Washington, DC and other major tour markets across the country.
This June, the band will be releasing Poison: Live, Raw & Uncut. This DVD/CD collection -- the band's first in over a decade -- includes all of the multi-platinum rockers' greatest hits performed live, including "Nothin' but a Good Time," "Look What The Cat Dragged In" and "Every Rose Has Its Thorn." Captured in glorious high definition in front of 10,000 rowdy fans at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in St. Louis, Missouri, Live, Raw & Uncut also features a bonus photo gallery and a behind-the-scenes segment that captures all of the mayhem and madness of life on the road. Rounding out the set is an audio CD of Poison's greatest hits captured live.
Since first bursting onto the scene in 1986, Poison has been one of rock's top acts, with multi-platinum album sales and sold out tours. The success of the band's recent album releases and tours shows that Poison is as potent 22 years after the release of their debut album, Look What The Cat Dragged In, as ever.
Released in 2006, Poison's greatest hits collection, The Best Of Poison: 20 Years Of Rock, rocketed into Billboard's Top 20 with a #17 debut. The 18-track CD and digital collection, released by Capitol/EMI, was soon certified gold with sales totaling more than 500,000 units in the U.S., and Poison tore through the summer of 2006 on their highly successful "20 Years Of Rock" North American concert tour.
Last June, Poison returned to Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart with the #32 debut of their EMI America Records/Capitol release, POISON'D!. Produced by Don Was, POISON'D! packs 13 explosive cover songs, including new recordings of David Bowie's "Suffragette City," The Cars' "You're Just What I Needed," The Romantics' "What I Like About You," Sweet's "Little Willy," The Marshall Tucker Band's "Can't You See" and The Rolling Stones' "Dead Flowers." Poison toured to more than 50 U.S. cities on last summer's sold out "POISON'D! 2007" tour.
VH1's hit reality series Rock Of Love With Bret Michaels, now in its second season and just weeks away from its climactic conclusion, continues to draw high ratings. Season one's love match was a mismatch and the search went on for Bret to find someone to "rock his world." The first season's finale was the #1 program on cable that night as well as the #1 non-sports program on cable for the week.

L.A. GUNS GETTING NEW CD AND TOUR DATES READY:
L.A. Guns are almost done with rehearsals and are leaving for Canada next week to go record. Guitarist Tracii Guns released the following statement:
This past week Marty Casey joined us in the song writing process and we came out with a couple of really great songs to add to the ever growing number of tunes to choose from for this record.
One song we are really excited about is called "Por Todos Mi Amigos" Which has some latin Flair and a super giant groove has us reaching new boundaries and is a great indicator as to scope of this bands chemistry in an artful way.
Other favorites so far are "Hole In My Radio" which we have played live a few times already and our audience sings along right from the get go so, thats a good sign. "Broken American Dream" is balls out riff rock. "I'm So High" has folk and country roots, we wrote this song while on tour and did the demo recording on our tour bus so, we were in the right frame of mind when we recorded this song with alot of love and care.
Also, we are in the middle of putting the "Summer Blackout" tour together for the USA this summer and will include Faster Pussycat and Bang Tango.
Putting out the positive energy and Love!!!!!!!!

VELVET REVOLVER SPLITS WITH ROCKER SCOTT WEILAND:
Four founding members of the rock band Velvet Revolver said on Tuesday they were splitting with the group's troubled singer, Scott Weiland, citing his "increasingly erratic" behavior.
The announcement came in a terse statement from the group's management company as Weiland, 40, and his recently reunited original band, Stone Temple Pilots, were set next week to announce plans for a highly anticipated summer tour.
The Pilots, also known by their acronym, STP, already have confirmed a handful of upcoming dates, beginning with the Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, Ohio, on May 17-18.
For Weiland, whose career has long been overshadowed by heroin addiction, Rock on the Range will mark his first show with STP since the band played 13 concerts to promote its last album of new material, 2001's "Shangri-La Dee Da."
Following the breakup of STP, Weiland was welcomed as lead singer for Velvet Revolver, the newly formed grunge rock band founded by three former members of Guns N' Roses -- guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum -- along with second guitarist Dave Kushner.
Velvet Revolver was confronted from the start with Weiland's drug and legal problems as it juggled performance schedules, recording sessions and promotional work to accommodate his court dates and rehab.
Last month, Weiland pleaded innocent to a charge of driving under the influence of drugs stemming from his arrest on a Los Angeles freeway ramp in November. He is free on $40,000 bail and is due back in court for a pretrial hearing on Friday.
A public feud between Weiland and Velvet Revolver's drummer already had cast doubt on the band's future when the statement on behalf of Sorum, Slash, McKagan and Kushner was issued under the headline "Velvet Revolver to Part Ways with Singer."
"This band is all about its fans and its music, and Scott Weiland isn't 100% committed to either," Slash was quoted as saying. "Among other things, his increasingly erratic on-stage behavior and personal problems have forced us to move on."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scott Weiland Responds to Velvet Revolver’s Overthrow –
Scott Weiland has issued a scathing statement in response to yesterday's non-April Fool's Joke that Velvet Revolver would continue on without its singer's services. "I find it humorous that the so called four 'founding members' of Velvet Revolver would decide to move on without me after I had already claimed the group dead in the water on March 20 in Glasgow," Weiland said.
Weiland went on to remind everyone that he's reuniting with Stone Temple Pilots, saying "I choose to look forward to the future and performing with a group of friends I have known my entire life. This also speaks to my commitment to the fans who I feel would much rather watch a group of musicians who enjoy being together as opposed to a handful of discontents who at one time used to call themselves a gang."
In one last parting shot, Weiland comments on the band's upcoming search for a new lead singer. "Good hunting lads, I think Sebastian Bach would be a fantastic choice."

MOTLEY CRUE REVEAL "THE DIRT" ON THEIR NEW ALBUM:
"This album has the vibe of Dr. Feelgood, Girls Girls Girls and Shout at the Devil," promises Motley Crue's Nikki Sixx of the band's first album since 1997.
The still-untitled album borrows heavily from Crue's autobiography The Dirt and attempts to recapture the glitter rock sound with song titles like "Down at the Whisky" and "White Trash Circus." "There's also a lot of humor because, let's face it, we're ridiculously funny,'" Sixx says.
To read more about the Crue's new album, check out the Spring Album Preview in the Rolling Stones-and-Jack White-covered issue of Rolling Stone Magazine (on stands now).

TED NUGENT WILL RELEASE 'SWEDEN ROCKS' ON MAY 13:
Eagle Rock Entertainment will release Sweden Rocks by Ted Nugent on CD May 13 [pre-book date April 23, Retail List Price $13.98]. The concert was captured at the 2006 Sweden Rock Festival, featuring the singer/songwriter/guitarist with drummer Mick Brown and bassist Barry Sparks. A DVD of the show will be released June 10.
One would be hard-pressed to name another intrinsically American Hard Rocker who backs up his talk with surefire action like Nugent. His non-musical pursuits have garnered as much ink as his hellfire rock'n'roll. Outdoorsman, hunter, Conservative Political Activist, and controversial spokesperson on behalf of The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, Nugent epitomizes and embodies the ethic of the outspoken pioneer taking on all comers in all matter of debates...while still making damn sure to rock non-stop and without regret. Ted Nugent is an American Original.
But it's his shotgun style of guitar playing that has endeared him to his huge fanbase. And it's on a stage where that pepper spray of staccato notes is best appreciated. Although he has admitted to partial hearing loss due to his close proximity to massive amounts of ampage, he still cavorts about onstage like a man possessed. And his fans love it. In Sweden, in 2006, he's still at the height of his powers and, if the reaction from the crowd is an indication, he hasn't lost one iota of his arsenal.
Nugent split from his Detroit band The Amboy Dukes after their major hit ("Journey To The Center Of Your Mind"). As a solo artist, he has racked up an impressive string of hit singles and albums. With homes in both Michigan and Texas, he has maintained his public role as a noted author, columnist, and political activist while still selling over 35 million albums in his career, also famous for playing the Gibson Byrdland guitar. The Gibson guitar company has since named a model for him.

VELVET REVOLVER'S SLASH TALKS WEILAND SPLIT:
Rolling Stone spoke exclusively with Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash today regarding the band's decision to split with frontman Scott Weiland.
"Everybody's just very relieved," Slash tells RS. "This is something that's been coming down for a while. I know everybody is tying the STP [reunion tour] thing to it, but it started way before that. We just had a lot of commitments to fulfill, so we just had to drag this thing out until the obligations were finished. Basically, we're just excited about finding someone else and moving on."
As far as the search for a new frontman goes, Slash says, "There's some people, but it's really premature to start naming names. We actually worked with a guy, I won't mention his name, before we left to go to the U.K. and there just wasn't enough to break him in, so we're gonna work with him again some more, and maybe some other guys as well."
As for Weiland's recommendation that the band hire former Skid Row vocalist Sebastian Bach, Slash is unamused. "I thought [Weiland] could be a little bit more imaginative. I'm not sure if that was meant to be a pot shot or what. Whatever, it's not worth any real drama."

NEW MUSIC FROM GUNS N' ROSES?:
Guns N' Roses fans, the more-than-a-decade-in the-making album Chinese Democracy really does seem to be getting very close to a release date.
No, really. This is what I'm hearing:
Axl Rose & Co. have recently been letting people, music industry honchos, tastemakers and so forth, listen to six new tracks, according to a music executive who has heard the songs.
The exec raved about the music. "It's really good," he said. "Axl's voice sounds exactly the same, but the songs sound contemporary. You expect it to be a trainwreck, but it's not."
Reps didn't talk about exact release dates, according to my source, but they implied it could still happen by the end of the year. (Yes, I know we've heard this before.)
Just last week, Rose announced on the official Guns N' Roses website that the band hired a new management team headed by heavyweights Irving Azoff and Andy Gould.
The band's last original recordings, Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II, were released in 1991. Since their debut in 1985, they have sold an estimated 90 million albums worldwide.
