Hey there, welcome to the first installment of Rock Style. Every month I want to show you something, someone, or some place with rock n roll style. I’ve given fashion advice for years and now I want to share what I like with you.

My personal taste is edgy but classic but most certainly not conservative. I like original and organic thinking when it comes to clothes and accessories. Well-made and classic style clothing is so important; you need a basic wardrobe you can rotate in and out of. I believe that you should wear what you like and like what you wear because it is a reflection of you. So, when you find a piece that calls to you, fits like a glove, and feels luxe, BUY IT!

Rock fashion is one of the most copied styles to date. I notice that a lot of the rockers these days are wearing designer duds and tailor made stage clothes. We all have some desire to play the part of a rock star right? Well, that’s what I am here to clue you in on. You need the attitude and the desire to wear the things I show you and I will search out the designers, the clothes, and the accessories so we can all dip into the pool of cool!

There are musicians who have launched their own lines, Nikki Sixx has Royal Underground, Tico Torres of Bon Jovi has Rock Star Baby, J-Lo has Just Sweet, and Gwen Stefani has Harajuku Lovers. If you want to buy names there are vast resources on the web, personally doesn’t matter who makes it as long as it pleases me. This list does prove that we do admire the looks and fashion of these people, so let’s tap into these looks and see what can happen.

I have found that no matter your age or your gender you can have rock edginess in your style. I think accessories are a staple which is why these are my favorite things to play with. You can take a regular t-shirt, hot jean and make many different looks with the bobbles.
